Separate vs Combined?
Check your timetable. If you have Biology, Chemistry and Physics as three separate GCSE subjects you are doing Separate Science. If you have one or two Science GCSEs covering all three subjects, you are doing Combined.
Higher vs Foundation?
Ask your teacher — they will have entered you for a tier. Higher Tier grades run from 4 to 9. Foundation Tier grades run from 1 to 5. Most students aiming for grade 6+ are entered for Higher.
Which exam board?
Look at the front of any past paper or mock exam your school has given you — the board name is printed at the top. If you are still unsure, ask your Biology teacher.
